Lindum Wildflower & Perennial Mat - a vibrant mixture of wildflowers, sedum, herbs and perennials designed to be attractive to pollinators and promote biodiversity.

Lindum Wildflower & Perennial Mat has been specifically developed as an alternative to pure Sedum and includes a ready established mixture of drought tolerant wildflowers, sedum, herbs and flowering perennials that will flourish on the conditions created on a green roof.

Developed with Professor Nigel Dunnett of the Department of Landscape at the University of Sheffield, who has extensive knowledge of green roofs, in particular wildflowers, the mixture includes a range of plants that flower from April to September. This provides visual appeal and an excellent habitat for bumblebees, butterflies, birds and invertebrates, whilst being drought tolerant.

The mixture includes Oxeye Daisy, Lady’s Bedstraw, Cats Ear and Yellow Camomile, three native sedum varieties, and herbs such as Wild Marjoram and Thyme, and flowering perennials such as Dianthus.

Height of plants when flowering is 20-30cm.

The Wildflower & Perennial Mat needs a minimum substrate depth of 75-100mm and deeper if possible to encourage more colour Wildflower & Perennial Mat requires a slightly deeper substrate then Sedum Plus, providing a diverse habitat for soil dwelling organisms and invertebrate flora to flourish.

Lindum Wildflower & Perennial Mat is grown at our nursery in the Vale of York allowing for rapid delivery from field to roof.
