Lindum Wildflower & Sedum Mat heading to RHS Chelsea 2011
Within All things green
With sunshine and warmth at last making an appearance, the green roof mats in our nursery are coming to life. The Wildflower and Sedum Mat in particular is showing the diversity of species as they start to grow upwards and outwards in preparation for a dazzling display.
Dr Nigel Dunnett, Director of the Green Roof Centre and Reader in Urban Horticulture at the University of Sheffield UK, came up this week to select the mats for his show garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the Royal Bank of Canada New Wild Garden, where there will be a green roof and other vegetation to encourage biodiversity.
Case Studies
Arden Grove School, Norwich
The Lindum Wildflower & Sedum Mat was used in the project at Arden Grove Infant & Nursery School to demonstrate to the children that a building including the roof could be constructed completely with environmentally friendly materials.
